Made in Denmark, 1920s Composed of 5 linked segments joined by interlocking loops and decorated with enamel, marked 925 S, Hans Hansen in script, Denmark, approx. length 16 in. Hans Hansen (1884-1940) initially mostly jewelry in the 1930s, Kolding, Denmark. Hans Hansen was a Danish visual artist who was born in 1884. Hans Hansen has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Only Photography and at the Museum Tinguely. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'collection of five boxes' sold at Wright 'Scandinavian Design ' in 2011. There have been Several articles about Hans Hansen, including 'Charles O. Perry Dies at 81; Sculptor Inspired by Geometry' written by William Grimes for the New York Times in 2011. The artist died in 1940.
