This rare diamond bangle bracelet was made by an unknown master in Kharkov, Ukraine during the reign of Czar Nicholas I (1825-1855).
This bracelet shows the characteristics of fine jewelry workmanship from tsarist Russia. Designed as a yellow gold bangle, the top is enhanced with a cluster of old European-cut. Of hinged construction, the interior of the hidden clasp is stamped with Cyrillic maker's initials GN, 56, the Russian gold standard for 14k, and the hallmark for Kharkov (cornucopia and scepter). DTW is appr. 2.4 ct, old European cut.
It has a secure hidden clasp. Total weight is 32.2 gr. The interior of the opening measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/2cm.
